CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES
THE BURGUNDY BOY
We are in the process of developing a new show, provisionally called "The Burgundy Boy". The show will be dealing with identity, depression and suicide, amongst other things. The show has been inspired by co-artistic director Jake Hassam's own struggle with, and continuing triumph over, such obstacles. We want it to be an anthology piece that shares a number of real stories, mixed up together with some dreams and a live psychedelic soundtrack. We are asking anyone who feels comfortable sharing their own experiences of depression or mental health problems to get in touch. We want the show to be a positive, empowering piece of theatre that proves that although reality can be a very difficult place to be, our problems existing within it can be a gift as much as a curse. Maybe we're all a little bit "mental". Maybe it's reality that's the problem. Whatever way you look at it, we want to try and find a healthy and happy way that everyone can exist and come to terms with their own identity. This is a big and complex project, and if you think you have something to say or share that can help us we would really like to here from you. You can contact us anonymously via the form below, or email us at [email protected]. Thank you very much.
